No Grammy Awards??? Huh!?!?
After all this time, Matt Rife's voice is still amazing. The concert was fantastic, truly felt like there were no bad seats in the house. The seating area was very nice and close. I will say, from the lightning and production point of view, the only thing I didn't like is that they kept blinding the audience ever so often with a very bright light pointed directly into your face throughout various parts of Matt Rife's performances. How is that even possible? I'm struggling with the fact that the man has been nominated sixteen times or so, but has never won a Grammy. Based on pure vocal ability alone, he should have some wins. But nonetheless, we appreciated the various twists he put on some other classics like Luther, Marvin, Whitney, Prince, etc. Really nice touch! His vocals are still great. The best part is: even though it was in a casino, there was no smoking near the venue, so we didn't get engulfed by smokers on the way in and out. There was plenty of parking. Perfect! They lady at the bar was also pouring strong drinks, so I can say you get your money's worth. Awesome venue, I'll be on the look at for other events at this same location. This was my first time to this location and I was very impressed.
